Amman's Roman Amphitheater - A Step Into History
Visiting Jordan just may take you to one of the best places for shopping in Jordan, located in Old Town Amman. You can go to McDonald's and sit outside and enjoy the view. One of the best views to be seen is the Roman Amphitheater in downtown Amman. This Roman Amphitheater is 2000 years old and it holds 5000 spectators. It is voted #4 on the list of the best places to visit in Amman, Jordan
Visit with Me the Petra Ruins
rips to Jordan must include a vacation at Petra and a visit to their historical ruins. The beauty of this spectacular view will leave anyone in awe. The majesty of the horizon, the splendor of the sights and yes a time to reflect on your own mortality. When you are thinking of vacations that would mean the most, head on over to Petra and learn what all Jordan has to offer. Petra Ruins, pictured above, will take you to a place where you never thought was possible. If you want to ride on a camel, mule or horse, that is all very possible.
Historical Wadi Rum
Wadi Rum is 720 kilometers of protected desert area in the southern area of Jordan. It is breath taking and a trip that none should miss. Wadi Rum is full of mountains that emerge to great heights of 1700 meters and more. Hikers love this area and it is a place to get to know the true Bedouin way of life.
Besides hiking, you can ride in by camel or jeep. You can also live like the Bedouins do and sleep overnight in a tent, but beware it gets very cold sometimes in the year. Here are some things to be aware of:
1. The weather can soar to 32 degrees C. (90 degrees F.) in the summer to 4 degrees C. (39 degrees F.) in the nights. Make sure to bundle up, especially around December to February.
2. Never take pictures of the Bedouins you may encounter without their permission. However, Arabs love to have their pictures taken often.
3. Dress appropriate when visiting Bedouin areas as skimpy dresses and shorts would be considered disrespectful and not allowable.
4. Plan on this trip taking the entire day especially is you are going to the highest regions by the 7 Pillars of Wisdom

Aqaba - A Place for Sea Lovers
Don't overlook Jordan's Red Sea Resort. Aqaba is an ideal place for fun, swimming, diving and a great spot to relax on your way to Wadi Rum. It has long been hailed as a great place for diving and the resort hosts many places to learn how to dive or to dive professionally. If you do not want to dive, then they also provide a see-through window to watch those who can dive professionally.
There are many 5 star hotels, award wining restaurants and places to have loads of fun. For five and half thousand years the port of Aqaba has played an important role in the economy and the airport is only 20 minutes away from the center of town. Aqaba is a place for sea lovers and diving enthusiast, but it is also a place for those who just want to have some fun.

One of the favorite places for shopping in Amman is a place called Carrefour Mall. The main branch which is pictured here is located near Medina Hospital and is centrally located next to Mecca Mall. Carrefour is catering to foreigners and they have many items imported from America. The mall is huge with multi-floors and has everything you could possibly want.
They have an open air bakery in the food section that makes the trip worth while. The bread is made right at the mall and they are catering to American type tastes. There are multi-levels to this huge mall with everything from jewelry to food. There are many Carrefour Malls throughout Amman, but this one is the largest and the best.

Walking in Mosque Park/evan408606
Many visitors to Jordan will go to the main mosques and visit them and the surrounding grounds to get the real feeling about Jordan and its religion. This is the grounds outside a mosque close to the old town area. The old town area is close to the Roman Amphitheater also.
Visitors feel happy to see why millions of people flock to Islam. It is also a break for those who have been on tours for days. It is nice to associate with the locals, eat at their local eateries and sample the many delicacies we have for dessert.
Amman has many shops where you can go and choose your favorite sweet and then go to a table and have some Pepsi Cola and your chosen dessert. When in Jordan eat the local desserts, as they are the best and very inexpensive also.
