Pet Friendly Hotels in Amman Jordan
Hotels that Accept Pets

Traveling with a pet to Amman Jordan is easier than you think. There are seven pet friendly hotels that will accept small pets, not to exceed 15 pounds (6.80 kilos). This allows you to bring your pet with you and enjoy your trip with the comfort of knowing they are cared for.
Most trips in Jordan can be done on a Day Trip. There are many Day Trips, such as to Wadi Rum, Aqaba, Dead Sea and even Petra. Some will however choose to stay longer and enjoy their time more. Many airlines will accommodate your travel also with pets being allowed to be under the seats in the cabins.
Jordan does not quarantine your pets and as long as their shot records are brought up to date at least 30 days before travel and no longer than 12 months prior, you are welcome to bring your pets. Be aware however that you must have the proper documentation from your city and country you are departing from. It is also suggested that you give your pet a tranquilizer before travel if they are at all nervous. The flight to Jordan is quite long from most countries.
I brought my cat from America to Jordan in the Sherpa bag seen above. To this date, some 13 years later, it still looks exactly like that. They are extremely durable and usable. The price for this bag is not cheap, but worth the cost. You can find this bag and other cat carriers online for around $60 to $70 dollars. You may also check at your local pet shop. I purchased mine at a well known pet shop, 13 years ago and paid $87 for the bag.
I got a very nice letter from the President of Sherpa Bags, Neil Werde complimenting my very nice website. I was thoroughly impressed that the President of the company, himself chose to write to me and give me permission to use his photos. It just shows you the kind of company they are. Thank you Neil and we encourage others to contact you as well.

Choosing a Pet Carrier and Airline to Travel On
There are as many pet carriers as there are airlines. The majority of airlines do not regulate which type of carrier you must use. What they will tell you is that the carrier must fit under your seat.
Some airlines, such as Royal Jordanian only allow pets if the flight is short and not to exceed 5 hours. Other airlines like Egypt Air will allow the pet to accompany you in a long International Flight. You must check for a valid list of airlines that will help you be close to your animals. Some animals have been neglected or harmed in the cargo area, so if you can travel with your pets with you in the cabin, it is better. The best situation of course is to leave them at home, if you have someone to care for them. A long airplane flight to Amman, Jordan will take many hours and traumatic for any pet. I highly recommend that you also, make the carrier comfortable and look for one with plenty of air and that you place a rug or padded towel inside.
