Mysticism is the ability to see life and death in different realms. It is the ability to remove mental blocks. A normal person sees a mosque as a building, but in Islam and in Sufism which is practiced in Jordan and the outer regions, we see the mosque as the building block of infinite possibilities. Allah the Supreme can offer miracles to what may have seemed like doom before. Cancer is curable, blind people can see again and the lame can walk due to the fact that they were able to believe in the impossible.
Mysticism is a gift from Allah, the Giver of all gifts. If you are chosen you cannot only see past the existing wall, you can see and know more to help others achieve wellness and totality. How can I or you know Allah's will, by prayer? Where are the best prayers? In the mosques. Thus we bring mosques and mysticism together in its entirety.
Jordanian Mosques
Jordan and the entire Middle East are saturated with mosques. There are small mosque, big mosques and even local mosques that house entire schools. One of the most famous mosques in Amman is the Blue Mosque. However I have been to the Blue Mosque and it is my least favorite of all mosques in Jordan. It is cold inside and not beautiful at all. The outside of the mosque is beautiful and the grounds are nice, but I have been to other mosques that bring me closer to Allah than this one.
I have been to some mosques where you can feel Allah's presence, where the angels reside often and where very religious people come daily. I remember one mosque near the old town area in Amman downtown shopping, there was a place for the women to pray and next door to the woman's area you could hear men reciting Quran beautifully. The whole mosque filled with excitement. There was a quiet feeling like you have never felt and I felt the spirit of heaven descending on me. This mosque would now bring the mystic appeal in me out and I could hear Allah's calling.
Finding the perfect mosque is not done on the internet, but by actually visiting mosques in Jordan. There are many beautiful mosques in Syria also. Of course the most famous mosque in the area is in Mecca, Medina and Al-Aqsa Mosque where Prophet Mohammad descended from to heaven on the Miraj.

Why are the Mosques more Mystic than the Home?
For men, the mosque is the required place to pray. For women, they get more blessings by praying in the home, in fact 70 times more. In the home you have many distractions and haram activities such as television, noisy neighbors and talking. In the mosque usually there is only reading Quran, praying and reciting zikr. The presence of Allah is stronger in the mosque for many and it bring you closer to his presence.
If you have a major problem or decision to make, then go to the mosque and get the answer. Do you have cancer? Go to the mosque and pray for the right cure? Do you want a divorce? Don't decide in your home, go to the mosque and ask Allah. You will have this intense feeling come over you as if being possessed by the Holy Spirit that will guide you. If you genuinely want to know the answer to your problem, go to a mosque and pray.
Faith Healing or Mysticism?
Faith Healing has little to do with mysticism. One of the best mystics I know is Sheik Nazim. Although he is a Sufi and not in my religion I find a special feeling when I see his face or look in his eyes. I have read many of his articles and adore his belief on curing disease. His natural cures are very good and I have used them personally. His knowledge of health is excellent. I believe he is a true mystic and has the ability to see the unseen and know what you do not know and have heard of his ability to transform himself or be in the presence of the follower. We can commonly call this out of body experiences.
Faith healing on the other hand is where a believer believes that Allah, the Healer, will heal them no matter what. They will forsake all forms of medical practices to follow their religion. I personally hate doctors and pharmaceutical medicines. I have healed myself of many diseases by asking Allah for the cure and thus have healed myself of diseases other say that are incurable.
Is Faith Healing Mysticism?
Have you ever gone to pray and you are given the answer? I have done that many times -- where you pray for a cure and the answer is given. Many times it will be by a thought that comes to you or by a vision that is seen. Mysticism is more than this though. Mysticism is drawing on the inner spirit and seeking a higher power. It is the ability to draw closer to Allah by total devotion to his being and loving him more than anything else. Many Muslims in Islam are not really Muslims. They forsake their practices to cleave close to the dunya or life of this world.
Sheiks, mystics or learned individuals are ones who follow the ways of our prophet, who devote their life to following Allah's commands and who will do everything in their power to avoid sin. I honor the mystics of Jordan and of the world. I honor those who love the mosque more than their homes and I honor especially those who spend their money to build a mosque, so others like yourself and I can go there and learn how to be close to Allah, the Benefactor.
Ameen!
